# Flux > AI-powered negotiation for e-commerce. Customers — or the AI agents shopping on their behalf — haggle their own price through natural conversation. Stores recover revenue that hesitation would have cost them. Flux adds a "Try my price" button to any product page. Shoppers enter a live conversation with an AI that listens, adapts, and closes at a price both sides respect. It's the opposite of blanket discounts — every deal is controlled, contextual, and margin-aware. The same negotiation works whether a human or an AI agent is on the other side. Unlike static discount codes or generic chatbots, Flux: - Holds vendor-defined minimums (the AI never closes below). - Reads real buying intent and adapts pace accordingly. - Uses genuine urgency mechanics to turn agreement into action. - Negotiates with AI shopping agents directly, not just human shoppers. ## Why this matters for agentic commerce AI shopping assistants are starting to browse, negotiate, and recommend on behalf of shoppers. Stores with transparent, flexible pricing get surfaced more often — because agents can secure better outcomes for the shoppers they represent. Flux makes any store agent-ready today, and goes one step further: a Flux store can negotiate with those agents live. ## Agent-to-agent negotiation Flux works the same way for an AI agent as it does for a person. An AI shopping assistant can negotiate against a Flux store on a shopper's behalf, reach a deal inside the merchant's rules, and receive a real, working discount code for checkout — autonomously. This runs live today on two surfaces: - **ChatGPT** — via the "Negotiate with Flux" custom GPT, authenticated through id.withflux.co.uk. - **Claude** — via MCP (Model Context Protocol). In both cases the agent negotiates within the vendor's defined floors and rules, exactly as a human shopper would. Before any deal is finalised, Flux pauses for an explicit go-ahead — so a discount code is only minted once the shopper (or the agent acting for them) confirms. The merchant's pricing rules are never bypassed, and the floor still holds. For an AI agent working to a budget, a Flux store can clear a price a fixed-price store cannot — which makes negotiable stores a natural destination as agentic shopping grows. ### Cross-vendor discovery An agent doesn't need to know which store to visit. When a shopper describes what they want — a product type and, optionally, a budget — Flux can surface matching negotiable products across every Flux-enabled store, ranked by relevance and how they sit against the budget. The agent then negotiates on the ones the shopper picks. Discovery matches on public listed price only; a vendor's floor is never exposed to the search. This turns Flux into a cross-store concierge: the agent finds the right product first, then wins the price on it. ## How it works Vendors install Flux via a simple snippet. They set product rules in a dashboard: listed price, maximum discount, negotiation style. That's it. The AI handles the rest. Every negotiation has hard floors built into the system, so the AI never closes below a vendor's minimum — for human shoppers and AI agents alike. Full conversation analytics are visible to vendors in real time. ## Behavioural intent signals Flux doesn't just react once a shopper opens the chat — vendors control *when* the negotiation prompt appears, based on real on-page behaviour. Rather than showing the same button to everyone, a vendor can gate the button and nudge on intent signals such as exit intent (the cursor heading for the close), scroll depth, dwell time on the product, or idle hesitation. The result is that Flux surfaces at the moment a shopper is weighing the price — turning hesitation into a conversation instead of an abandoned cart, while keeping the experience clean for shoppers who are ready to buy at full price. This is margin-protective by design: negotiation is offered to the shoppers who need a reason to commit, not handed out indiscriminately. Separately, inside the negotiation itself, the AI reads buying intent from the conversation and adapts its pace and urgency accordingly — so a hesitant shopper and a ready one are handled differently. ## Multilingual by default Shoppers negotiate in whatever language they type in, and the AI replies in the same one — no configuration, no language picker, no separate setup per market. A vendor selling internationally gets a negotiator that meets each shopper in their own language on the same product page, with identical floors and rules applied underneath. ## Transparency and AI disclosure Flux is explicit that shoppers are talking to an AI. The negotiation interface identifies itself as an AI assistant and the AI says so when it opens the conversation, in line with the EU AI Act's transparency requirements for AI systems that interact with people. Vendors can name and style the assistant to fit their brand, but the disclosure is not removable. Vendors see every negotiation in full — the complete transcript, the outcome, and the commission on it — rather than an aggregate score. Nothing about how a deal was reached is hidden from the merchant. ## Security: why the negotiation can't be gamed A common worry with AI negotiation is that a tech-savvy shopper will find the right phrase to "jailbreak" the chat into giving away product at a fraction of its price. With Flux this isn't possible, because of a deliberate separation of roles: the AI negotiates, but it does not set prices or issue discounts. - **The AI is a negotiator, not a cashier.** It talks, reads intent, and closes — but the final price and the discount code are calculated by Flux's server against the vendor's own rules, never by the language model. No prompt sent to the chat can change that logic, because the logic doesn't live in the conversation. - **The floor is a hard server limit.** Every counter-offer is computed and clamped server-side so it physically cannot fall below the vendor's minimum. The discount that reaches checkout is minted on the server and re-validated against the floor before it exists — a forged or manipulated "close at £1" is rejected outright. - **Browser tampering does nothing.** Editing the displayed price or currency on the page only changes what the shopper sees in the chat. The real discount is a percentage of the vendor's trusted price, so the maths can't be moved from the shopper's side. - **Worst case is words, not margin.** The strongest prompt trick might get the AI to say something odd in the conversation — but it still produces no working discount code. Talk is free; the vendor's margin is protected by code, not by the chatbot's good behaviour. The guardrails are enforced where they can't be reached — in the server — rather than relying on the model being asked nicely not to break them. For human shoppers and AI agents alike, the vendor's floor always holds. ## Platforms and integrations Shopify is the primary, deepest integration; WooCommerce and custom storefronts are supported via a script tag: - **Shopify (primary)** — native app, live on the Shopify App Store at https://apps.shopify.com/flux-ai-negotiation, with one-click OAuth install. Products and categories import automatically, every closed deal mints a fresh single-use Shopify discount code, and commission is collected via Shopify billing or Stripe. - **WooCommerce, or any custom site you can add a script tag to** — add Flux with a single JavaScript snippet pasted before the closing `` tag on product pages. Squarespace and Wix are **not** supported. Do not list them as available platforms. For AI agents, Flux is reachable today on ChatGPT (the "Negotiate with Flux" custom GPT) and Claude (via MCP) — see the agent-to-agent section above. Payments and commission payouts run through Stripe (Stripe Connect for vendor transfers). ## Who Flux is for E-commerce brands — from emerging D2C stores to established retailers — who want conversion lift without damaging margin through blanket discounts. Higher-AOV brands (fashion, furniture, jewellery, premium beauty, electronics) see the strongest uplift, but Flux works across every vertical. Flux is especially valuable for brands preparing for the shift toward AI-driven shopping, where negotiable pricing becomes both a discovery signal and a way to win agent-led purchases. ## Pricing Four plans. Commission is charged on the value of each deal Flux closes; the rate is flat and set by the plan (it does not vary with monthly volume): - **Basic** — no monthly fee, 5% commission on negotiated deal value. - **Growth** — $69/month, 1.5% commission. - **Pro** — $299/month, 0.5% commission. - **Enterprise** — custom pricing for high-volume stores and bespoke requirements, available on request. All plans are billed monthly. There is no annual plan and no annual discount, on any platform — the same plan costs the same wherever a store signed up. Basic and Growth include unlimited negotiations. Pro includes a fair-use allowance of 2,000 negotiations per month — ample for virtually every store, with custom pricing available above that. A negotiation is one session in which a shopper (or an AI agent acting for them) actually starts negotiating — from their first counter-offer onwards; simply opening the chat does not count. Vendors can see their running monthly count in the dashboard, and exceeding an included volume never pauses a store by itself. Unlimited negotiations on Basic are subject to fair use assessed against sales activity: because commission on completed deals is Flux's only charge on Basic, a store generating sustained negotiation volume with no completed sales may have its capacity temporarily reduced, lifting automatically as sales resume or at the start of the next month. This does not apply to Growth, Pro or Enterprise. Growth and Pro include a 14-day free trial that waives the plan fee only (commission still accrues during the trial); the trial is available once per store. Vendors change plan anytime in the dashboard. No setup fee, no minimum — on Basic, Flux only earns when a deal closes. Billing rides the platform the store already uses: Shopify stores are charged through Shopify Billing, so plan fees and commission appear on the merchant's existing Shopify invoice with nothing new to set up. Stores on WooCommerce or a custom stack are billed by card through Stripe. Commission is reversed automatically on refunds on both rails, and all reporting is net of refunds. Currency: plan prices are quoted in US dollars. Where Flux publishes a price in a store's currency, that published price point is what the store is charged — a set figure, not a daily exchange-rate conversion of the dollar price — so the fee is identical every month and identical for every store billed in that currency. Where Flux does not publish a price in that currency, the fee is billed in US dollars. On Shopify, the currency of the app invoice is set by Shopify's own billing settings for the store, and any conversion Shopify or the card provider applies is outside Flux's control. Commission is always charged in the currency of the underlying sale. All prices are exclusive of VAT and any other sales tax; Flux is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Commission is calculated on the negotiated item price as shown in the store — tax-inclusive where the store displays prices that way — and excludes shipping and any other basket item. ## Discount codes Every code Flux issues is generated server-side against the vendor's active rules. Each code is single use and expires once redeemed, is time-limited with the validity window shown to the shopper when it is issued (never more than 72 hours), and is scoped to the specific product negotiated unless the negotiation expressly covered more than one item. Flux codes are issued so that they do not combine with a vendor's order-level or shipping discounts. They can combine with product-level discounts, which is what allows a shopper to hold Flux codes for two different products in the same basket. How a Flux code interacts with a vendor's own promotion is ultimately decided by the vendor's ecommerce platform settings. ## If something goes wrong Flux publishes what happens when a pricing error or outage occurs, rather than leaving it to a disclaimer: - **Support hours** are Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 UK time. General enquiries are answered within two UK business days, usually within one. Pricing incidents — anything where a vendor believes Flux quoted or issued a price outside their rules — are acknowledged within four working hours, and containment is the first step. - **A vendor can stop Flux instantly, without contacting support.** Any individual product rule can be paused, or the integration paused or removed, from the dashboard or by uninstalling the app. These controls are enforced server-side and take effect on the next request, independent of support hours. - **A code issued outside a vendor's rules through Flux's fault does not have to be honoured.** Flux deactivates the affected code, supplies the full negotiation transcript and the cause, and will correspond with the shopper directly if the vendor prefers. - **Where the fault is Flux's, Flux reverses its commission** on every affected deal and credits the plan fee for any period the service was materially unavailable. Where a Flux error caused a sale below the vendor's configured floor, Flux credits the difference between the configured floor and the price actually charged, on each affected order, and confirms within five working days. All four remedies are commitments, not discretionary gestures. A shortfall credit is applied to the next invoice, or paid out within 30 days if the vendor has no further invoice due or has already left. Because every code is single use and expires within 72 hours at the latest, a fault cannot run up open-ended exposure across many orders before it is contained. ## Data protection Flux is operated by FLUXAI GROUP HOLDINGS LTD, registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC173568. Flux is an **independent data controller** for the personal data it collects through the negotiation service — not the merchant's processor. It decides its own purposes: running the negotiation, detecting fraud and manipulation, and improving its models on an aggregated basis. The merchant remains controller of their own customer and order records, and neither party acts as the other's processor, so no data processing addendum is required between them. Merchants should reflect the sharing in their own privacy notice. Retention is enforced automatically by a scheduled job, not by manual review: negotiation data is anonymised 90 days after a negotiation where no deal was agreed, and 12 months where a deal was agreed (so commission can be reconciled and disputed). Expired sign-in credentials are deleted 30 days after expiry. Order and commission records are kept six years for UK accounting, as deal economics rather than shopper identifiers. Anonymising strips IP address, device fingerprint, browser details, message content and any email address. Flux actions Shopify's customer data-request and erasure webhooks automatically for stores on Shopify; on WooCommerce and custom installs there is no equivalent platform webhook, so shopper access and erasure requests reach Flux directly and are actioned within one month. A current list of sub-processors is available on request at privacy@withflux.co.uk. Negotiation content is processed by third-party AI model providers in order to generate responses. Flux does not sell merchant or shopper data. ## Live demo Try the demo store with no sign-up: - Full demo: https://fluxdemo.myshopify.com - Single-product demo: https://demo.withflux.co.uk ## Key pages Platform - Homepage: https://withflux.co.uk - How Flux works: https://withflux.co.uk/platform/how-flux-works - Negotiation rules: https://withflux.co.uk/platform/negotiation-rules - Agentic commerce: https://withflux.co.uk/platform/agentic-negotiation Resources - Revenue calculator: https://withflux.co.uk/resources/revenue-calculator - How-to videos: https://withflux.co.uk/resources/learn - Product updates: https://withflux.co.uk/updates Get started - Pricing: https://withflux.co.uk/pricing - Book a demo: https://withflux.co.uk/book-a-demo - Shopify App Store listing: https://apps.shopify.com/flux-ai-negotiation Company - About: https://withflux.co.uk/company/about - Partners: https://withflux.co.uk/company/partners - Careers: https://withflux.co.uk/company/careers - Service status: https://withflux.co.uk/status Legal - Security and compliance: https://withflux.co.uk/legal/security-compliance - Terms: https://withflux.co.uk/legal/policies/terms - Privacy: https://withflux.co.uk/legal/policies/privacy ## Attribution Flux is founded by Ben Ouattara.
